I’ve been a fan of nOir Jewelry since their original collaboration with DC Comics launched back in 2010, before our blog even started! With a new batch of fashionably fantastic pieces newly released from their DC Comics Collection, it’s the perfect time to share some of our favorites from the new launch.

Now, be forewarned, you will love these pieces, and then you’ll find yourself frustrated because they do cost a pretty penny! Ranging from $40 to over $300, you just about need a superhero sized paycheck to afford some of the more head-turning pieces.

But, as a geek AND as an adult woman who likes to dress fashionably, I find myself frustrated to so often be unable to find high-end, geek themed jewelry, and relegated to just getting cheap (but cool, mind you!) jewelry at teen stores like Hot Topic. Which is why I absolutely adore that a company like nOir jewelry, whose pieces are often seen on the runway, or big name celebs, has a geek jewelry collection like this!

Many of these pieces are available in different metal color options: rhodium, gold, and gunmetal, which allow you to pick the color that goes best with your skin tone and personal style.

While their original collection had pretty much every piece loaded with crystals, this new launch features plain metal, but no less statement making and beautiful, pieces. Some of the original collection, such as the Supergirl and Wonder Woman Logo Rings, are still available for those still wanting to get their hands on them. The addition of the classic “Bang Pow” pieces are a nice nod to classic comics, and great for those that want to wear a geek-themed piece without being specific to any one character.

What piece has you ready to go Catwoman and rob a bank to get? I’m weak at the knees for that aggressive looking Gotham City Bracelet, but I really can’t wait to get my hands on the Wonder Woman Statement Necklace, or the Star Cuff (2 of them, of course!). Tell us your faves on Facebook and Twitter! Do you own any pieces from their 2010 collection? We’d love to hear about it! While the pieces are pricey, they are worth it. I own the Supergirl earrings, and Batman cuff, ring and earrings from the original collection. I get complimented every time I wear them, and they really create a knock-out final touch to any geek chic look.
